Using the MacOS Client Filter Diagnostics Tool
Follow these steps to test connectivity to the
Policy Server with the Diagnostics tool
- Open the Apple ( ) menu and select System Preferences…, or select the System Preferences icon from the dock on your Desktop.
- Click the Netsweeper Client Filter icon.
- Click Filter Settings.
- In the Netsweeper Client Filter pop-up box, click the Filter Settings button to access the Filter options.
- In Filter Settings, select the Diagnostics tab and click the Run Diagnostics button.
The Diagnostics tool will test several components, including connectivity to the Policy Server. You can find the Policy Server Address and port information in the Configuration section of the output. However, if you are having connectivity issues, it is recommended to review the entire diagnostics output.
For example, the Network Test section can relay any issues with your network, while the Policy Server Test section will display any issues with the connectivity between the Client and the Policy Service.
