Client Filter Exceptions MSI Support

Lenovo NetFilter in 7.49 and above allows customers to modify the MSI to set the NSEXCEPTIONS property to a modified exception list.

First, you need to use the Control Panel 'Filter Settings' to modify the Exception List. Once you have a working and tested Exception List, export it using the Export Exceptions option.


Save this to a text file.

Using ORCA, you can now import the file into the NSEXCEPTIONS property.

Right click on the NSEXCEPTION value of "NO". You can then click Import Text File.


Select your text file. The property will be set to the proper contents you exported. Save the MSI, or save a transform.


Confirm that it works by installing, and going to Filter Settings, Exceptions and making sure it is properly set.
